You have undoubtedly stumbled upon the news in the press: this winter, brownouts are a real possibility. It is high time to prepare your organisation for this leap in the dark.

The Belgian grid operator Elia is planning 49 to 116 hours of electricity cuts, which will force you to interrupt your activities. This will result in a loss of income and less effective service to your customers. It therefore comes as no surprise that business owners have asked to be notified of power cuts, as well as their possible impact on their activities, at least two days in advance.

To limit the negative consequences of black-outs and support your Business Continuity Plan, IPG and Ring Ring have jointly developed the ultimate solution: alert notifications.

In order to guarantee clear communication to customers and residents, IPG is deploying its contact centre and expertise. The service offered by IPG is based on carefully developed processes allowing for maximum flexibility. In emergencies, a team of agents can quickly be deployed to answer questions and provide more detailed information, and not only by phone, as all communication channels offered by governments and companies alike can be managed throughout the crisis.

Ring Ring continues to develop its Crisis Communication Centre, a cloud-based platform that allows you to send automatic alert notifications via SMS, voice and e-mail to all persons affected by the blackout. You can activate the alerts via a web interface or smartphone app, or by connecting your systems with ours via API.

These combined solutions for incoming and outgoing communication are guaranteed to smoothly get you through the winter.
